Class Overview

Maximum Class Size is 12 Students, assuring individualized instruction for each child. PA Certified Early Childhood Teacher. Hands-on learning, experiments, games and activities are included in a CURRICULUM developed and updated to meet or exceed Pennsylvania Standards for Kindergarten. Language and Literacy are integrated throughout all areas of the Kindergarten curriculum.

  • Evaluations, Report Cards, and Parent Conferences are given twice a year.
  • Field Trips and/or Special in-house Programs are held monthly.
  • A Pizza Lunch is given once a month, daily lunches should be brought from home.
  • Monthly Newsletters are created and distributed.
  • Parent participation is encouraged at all times. Bring in a craft or story to share in your child’s class.

The Details

We offer Full-Day Kindergarten licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Before and After School Programs for Kindergarten Students are now available. 8:30 am drop off and pick up by 4:45 pm. We offer 1,2,3,4, or 5 days. Register for a month at a time or for the whole year. No Drop-In Option available.

Math

We use the Every Day Math program that is used in the Dallas Schools and supplement with basic facts instruction.

Reading

Our kindergarten students learn to read with the Houghton-Mifflin curriculum supplemented with extensive phonics activities.

Phys Ed

Children work their muscles with fun activities and games as well as plenty of outdoor time to run and climb.

Language

Children are given various activities for extending vocabulary including monthly Show and Tell and Library time.

Science

Our curriculum includes monthly science themes and include fun hands on activities for exploring those themes.

Music

We start every morning with fun seasonal songs and movement time.

Writing

Writing instruction begins with letter and number formation and moves on to spelling and sentence formation.<br />

Social Studies

Monthly and seasonal themes take us through many games and activities to learn about many topics.

Art

Children create many works of art throughout the year to both celebrate each holiday and to experiment with different medium.
